Not only are the recent three choices we invested in all doing extremely well, but Bitcoin is also finally heading in the right direction after a torrid three months. Will it all continue? We think so, because Amazon has just announced they are getting in on the action.
Will Amazon Push Bitcoin to a New High?
This morning Amazon announced that they are making plans to accept Bitcoin payments by the end of the year. Not only that but it also showed interest in creating its own altcoin. The net result was a close to 15% surge in the price of Bitcoin with many talking of a renewed push to an even higher record high. An insider revealed that once Bitcoin payment is properly secure the likes of Ethereum will soon follow.
Where the crypto sector goes after the world’s fourth largest company adopts tokens as readily as it does fiat currency is anybody’s guess. But surely it will be a positive step for those who believe in what cryptocurrency has to offer the world.
Tech Stock Pushing High
The technology sector is still riding on the crest of a wave. Our choices Cloudflare and PTC are both 15% and 13% up respectively with no sign of slowing down. Both firms last week recorded a record share price so we intend to hang onto these stocks for now.
The S&P 500 also hit a new record on July 26. The index tracks America’s biggest 500 companies and clearly shows that confidence has returned to the US economy as fears of rising inflation pale into the background.
Our Vanguard S&P 500 tracker is currently 4% up hitting its highest point since the product launched three years ago.
What Next?
There’s not a great deal of obvious picks for short term investments right now. Crypto has been in a static pattern ever since Elon Musk criticised the energy wastage from mining and the Chinese government clamped down hard on the miners themselves.
Picking a sector that will benefit heavily from the pandemic fully ending and international borders reopening is one plan we will be looking at. Airlines and tourism firms will be at the top of the list when the vaccine program has stretched to every corner of the world.
For now we will stick with what we have unless anything fresh hits the news over the next week or two.
